National Bake Sale for Japan This Saturday

This note comes to us from Julian Vu and Joelle Williams:

We know it's last minute, but we just wanted to get the word out about the National Bake Sale for Japan. This is an event happening in over 25 cities across the U.S. including Washington D.C. It is essentially a bake sale in support of the Japanese Earthquake and Tsunami victims. All proceeds go to helping Peace Winds Japan, an organization that delivers relief supplies to disaster stricken areas. We could still use donations of baked goods. We will accept donations from 8:00 - 10:30 am on Saturday, and the actual Bake Sale runs from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm at the Busboys and Poets on 5th and K St. NW near Chinatown/NPR. If anyone wants to volunteer, tell them to get in touch with us at our email (dcbakesale4japan@gmail.com). We've attached a flyer and press release for more information. People can also find out more about us by visiting www.bakesaleforjapandc.com or by following us on twitter (@DCBakesale).
