This event comes to us from Kristen Barden:

Video artist Alberto Roblest brings his latest public art project to the heart of Adams Morgan for two nights only November 5 and 6, 2010.  “Present Interval/Intervalo en el Presente” is a temporary video installation that will transform a triangle of redbrick and asphalt at the intersection of 18th Street and Columbia Road NW into a museum experience without the museum or even a roof. It will, in fact, be a cultural experience that you can stroll through, under a starry sky.

Vincent Gray Officially Elected DC Mayor

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Washington voters have elected D.C. Council chairman Vincent Gray mayor, a result that had been expected for more than a month after he won the city's September primary.

Voters on Tuesday picked Gray, who had no Republican opponent in the general election.

Voters also chose Kwame Brown to replace Gray as the head of the D.C. Council and sent Democrat Eleanor Holmes Norton back to the U.S. House as the city's delegate. In a referendum, voters decided that they want to elect the city's attorney general, a position that is currently appointed.

Finally, voters re-elected six members to the 13-member D.C. Council: Phil Mendelson, David Catania, Jim Graham, Harry Thomas, Tommy Wells and Mary Cheh.
